DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS OF PAPER MACHINE DRYER SECTION ENERGY SYSTEM
The paper introduces the energy system of paper machine dryer section. The first and second law of thermodynamics is used to analyse the energy flow of dryer section. The result of the analysis is showed by sankey diagram, which is popularly used in energy analysis. The result of a newsprint paper machine reveals that the fresh air used for exhausting the vapor from the machine hood is more than needed. Thus the energy of exhaust air is very large, more than 62.05%. Process exergy loss is about 36.51%. The hood air humidity plays an important role in energy consumption. As the humidity increases, the dryer section energy consumption decreases obviously.
