SURVEY OF ENERGY UTILIZATION IN GUANGDONG PAPER MILLS
A survey was carried out for getting and analyzing the energy utilization status of paper mills in Guangdong Province. Eleven paper mills and one pulping mill were investigated on site, and fifteen paper mills were surveyed by the questionnaire, the other paper mills’ energy data was collected from publications and documents. To obtain the paper mills’ total production energy consumption for unit product (TPECUP) and analyze the energy consumption gap between Guangdong paper mills and world advanced paper mills available, the data was further researched. The result showed that most of Guangdong paper mill energy consumption still suffers from a big gap with the world best available level. Strengthening the energy management, regulating the production structure and enhancing energy saving technique are the effective methods for saving energy in the paper mill.
