PREPARATION OF CONCRETE WATER-REDUCING AGENT FROM ENZYMATIC HYDROLYSIS RESIDUE OF CORN STALK
Lignin from enzymatic hydrolysis residue of corn stalk was modified and separated by alkaline sulfite cooking (ASP) to obtain lignosulfonate which was used as concrete water-reducing agent in this paper. Effects of alkali dosage, reaction temperature, reaction time, and sulfidation degree on yield, fluidity of cement paste and surface tension were investigated. The suitable sulfonation conditions were determined as follows: alkali dosage 16% (Na2O,based on oven dry residue), sulfidation degree 85%, maximum temperature 165oC, time at 165oC for 3h. The yield of lignosulfonate was 63.38%, and the performances of the product obtained at the aforesaid conditions were shown as follows: fluidity of cement paste 105 mm, surface tension 44.3 mN/m (1% aqueous solution) and content of sulfonate group 1.75 mmol/g.
