STUDY ON IMPROVING RETENTION AND DRAINAGE PERFORMANCE IN PAPERMAKING OF NON-ASBESTOS GASKETS
Investigation in accordance with bad retention and drainage performance in the papermaking process for forming non-asbestos gaskets found that aluminum sulfate system effectively improved the retention and drainage performance of the slurry, but as the added amount of aluminum increased, there was a tendency of the system turning from alkaline to acidity. The addition amount of 0.08% was the best for retention and drainage when it was employed of one-component retention and drainage aid system of CPAM. When CPAM/bentonite microparticle retention and drainage aid system was employed, and CPAM dosage was 0.12% and bentonite dosage was 0.2%, the effect of retention and drainage reached the best. Meanwhile, with a higher dosage of CPAM, the CPAM/bentonite microparticle system had a better improvement on the pulp drainage performance.
