SYNTHESIS AND APPLICATION OF AKD POLYMER EMULSIFIER BY MINI-EMULSION POLYMERIZATION
The organic conceptional diagram was used as theoretical guidance. The effect of HLB of polymer emulsifier on performance of emulsifying AKD wax was studied by adjusting type and ratio of monomers. The results showed that the HLB value of polymer made from acrylamide, octadecyl acrylate and DADMAC at the ratio of 4:7:10 was at 17, and that the polymer emulsifier showed good emulsification property. When the dosage of polymer emulsifier was 8％, the sizing degree of AKD emulsion could be up to 63s. The experiment proved that polymer emulsifying AKD sizing agent had excellent sizing effect and quick curing speed.
