STUDY ON THE CHANGE LAW OF SURFACE ZETA POTENTIAL OF PULP IN THE PROCESS OF PAPERMAKING
Chitosan has a highly similar chemical structure to cellulose. It has potential applications in wet-end functional additives. In this paper, the adsorption of chitosan on fiber in the papermaking process was studied. From four aspects of factors, namely beating degree of pulp, dosage of chitosan, charge density of chitosan and conductivity of pulp, the variable quantity of Zeta potential of pulp was measured, and the simple empirical formula was established as: △ξ=10.1459cCD0.5BD0.1C-0.75±0.5, in which c represents the dosage of chitosan, CD represents charge density of chitosan, BD represents beating degree of pulp, and C conductivity of pulp. This formula provides the theoretical basis for the production of papermaking.
