STUDY ON APPLICATION OF NANOSIZED TITANIA PASTE IN PAPERMAKING

摘要：

Nanosized titania (TiO2) paste as a fine filler was used in the papermaking process to improve the properties of paper. The results of this research indicated that the paper basis weight, retention, caliper, whiteness, opacity degrees, remaining ink, intensity of anti-tension and roughness were improved, when the 20 ％ nanosized titania paste was used, comparing the nanosized titania with titanium white. As a result, the nanosized titania could replace the titanium white in the papermaking process and the performances of paper would be improved more effectively.
