INFLUENCE OF CPAM/CMC LAYER-BY-LAYER SELF-ASSEMBLY ON OCC FIBER PHYSICAL STRENGTH AND SURFACE PROPERTIES
In this paper, the changes of physical strength of recycled OCC fiber were investigated, and the influence of CPAM/CMC layer-by-layer self-assembly on OCC fiber physical strength and surface properties was discussed. It was shown that the physical strength of recycled fiber dropped sharply with the increase of recycling times. From the beginning to the second-time recycling, the breaking length and the folding strength of the recycled fiber were reduced by 33.97% and 78.58%, respectively. Up to the fifth-time recycling, a significant change in the physical strength of recycled fiber occurred, correspondingly. However, it was found that the physical strength of recycled fiber was greatly improved with the increase of CPAM/CMC self-assembly layers. The fiber Zeta potential was changed with the layers of polyelectrolyte. According to the results of SEM, it was inferred that polyelectrolyte was absorbed on the recycled fiber surface.
