EFFECT OF ENZYME TREATMENT OF DCS ON AKD SIZING EFFICIENCY
Dissolved and colloidal substances (DCS) in the recycling process, water could seriously influence the efficiency of AKD sizing. Enzymatic treatment of DCS was an efficient and environment friendly method, and enzyme treatment of DCS could influence the papermaking process. The effect of enzyme treatment DCS on the AKD sizing efficiency was studied. The results showed that enzyme treatment of DCS resulted in a deterioration of AKD sizing. It was found that some substances were degraded into glycerin, fatty acid, and other micromolecules after enzyme treatment, and the production of lipase treatment of DCS was responsible for the decrease of AKD sizing efficiency.
