THE RESEARCH OF THE RELATIONS BETWEEN THE RHOLOGY AND LEVELLING PROPERTY OF TIPPING PAPER WATER-BASED GRAVURE INK

Water-based gravure ink has the advantages of environmental protection and public health, so the gravure ink is the inevitable trend of development. The rheological performance of printing ink determines the printability of ink. We design the formulations of water-based gravure ink and make the ink samples. Though proofing by IGT printability instrument, we get printing samples .Then we test flow curve, ink dynamic visco-elastic parameters of the samples, G, G,etc. , and discuss the relations between the ink rheology and levelling property. The research results show that flow curve can judge levelling property of ink to a certain extent; the levelling property is better with the phase angle  of high shear areas.
