STUDY OF FACTORS INFLUENCING CD FOLDING ENDURANCE AND PROCESS OPTIMIZATION FOR OFFSET PAPER PRODUCTION
Factors influencing CD folding endurance, such as ash content, fiber beating process, furnish composition and wet end chemicals, and operation parameters (jet/web ratio of paper machine) were discussed. Paper quality was improved and became more stable, when adjusting and optimization of production process were carried out. Results showed that ash content and beating degree influenced folding endurance greatly, which should be paid more attention to in offset paper production line; wet end cationic starch could enhance folding endurance, the product brand and grade, and adding position were evaluated and discussed; operation parameters of paper machine were an auxiliary method to improve paper quality, ensuring paper machine with good runnability.
