STUDY ON THE ABSORPTION-DEGRADATION PERFORMANCE OF FORMALDEHYDE IN ATMOSPHERE BY COATED PAPER WITH NANO- TiO2 MODIFIED BAMBOO CHARCOAL
The absorption-degradation performance of formaldehyde in atmosphere by coated paper with nano-TiO2, bamboo charcoal (BC), the mixture of nano-TiO2 and BC, and nano-TiO2 modified bamboo charcoal (TiO2/BC) was investigated in the self-made device. The surface morphology and crystal structure of bamboo charcoal before and after treatment were represented by SEM and XRD. And the absorption performance of coated paper was characterized by stability chambers. The results showed that the structure of TiO2/BC was stable, and its shearing stress resistance behaved excellently during the mixture of coating. All of the coated papers could absorb-degrade formaldehyde effectively, and coated paper with TiO2/BC had better effect than other papers. After the irradiation of UV light for 3 hours, the absorption-degradation rate could be up to 93.75%, when initial concentration of formaldehyde was 0.8mg/m3.
