THE RELATIONSHIP OF BIBLE PAPER PROPERTIES AND PRINT QUALITY
Paper properties closely relate to printing process, and directly affect the print quality. The paper properties which have great impact on the print quality are found by studying the relationship of bible paper properties and print quality in order to provide reasonable advice for printing companies as to the choice of bible paper and provide reference for paper mills in the improvement of paper process. The properties and ash content of bible paper were tested and many different types of bible paper were printed on the IGT-C1. The relationship of bible paper properties and paper properties with destiny and print through were analysed with the linear regression. The results showed that: the thickness, tightness, weight and filler of bible paper have great impact on opacity; the whiteness and smoothness of bible paper have great impact on destiny; the opacity and thickness of bible paper have great effects on print through.
