Study on HDPE-PCF evanescent wave sensor
The photonic crystal liber (PCF) evanescent sensor has unique superior characteristics among the optical sensors, especially in terahertz (THz) wavelength range, PCF evanescent sensing will have huge application potentials. PCF characteristics and THz propagation characteristics in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) were combined. Finite element method was used to simulate and calculate THz-HDPE-PCF some parameters, at last the design considerations were given.
