HAZOP TECHNOLOGY APPLICATION TO TESTING SAFETY ASSESSMENT IN DEEP-SEA WELLS
Deep-sea Gas Well Testing is difficult and at high risks, and asks a high level of technical requirement for the safety and efficiency. Although the testing equipments are advanced and at high degree of automation, there are still many hidden dangers considered from the man, machine and environment. HAZOP (hazard and operation) technology can identify many potential hazards and operational issues to help determine the impact of the testing string failure on the underground security, and provide a basis for the design and selection of testing strings and present technical measures of security controls during testing. In this paper, HAZOP technique is used for safety assessment studies of the deep-sea gas testing. First, the deep-sea gas testing system and testing procedures are studied to determine the HAZOP analysis nodes; Secondly, the testing string HAZOP analysis is carried out on the basis of testing condition changing at different testing stages; Finally, the method of the fault tree quantitative analysis is introduced to calculate the top event probability and obtain the overall reliability and components reliability and degrees of relative importance. The HAZOP analysis of the deep-sea gas well testing identifies potential risks and operational issues, and the use of quantitative fault tree analysis calculates reliability of the various components of the testing strings as well as relative importance, which coincides with on-site examples basically.
