QUANTITATIVE RISK ASSESSMENT TECHNIQUE FOR LEAK AND DISPERSION OF NATURAL GAS CONTAINING HYDROGEN SULFIDE UNDER COMPLEX TOPOGRAPHIC CONDITIONS

This paper addresses the application of quantitative risk assessment technique used for complex topographic condition, which, based on the fundamental principle of quantitative risk assessment, incorporates computation fluid dynamics in the simulation of leak and dispersion of natural gas containing hydrogen sulfide, and adopts grid division technique and numerical elevation model of complex topographic condition. In this paper, one leak accident of a certain hydrogen-sulfide-containing gas field under complex topographic condition is taken as an example and a software package with independent intellectual property right (i.e. Model QRA-AYY Hydrogen-Sulfide-Containing Natural Gas Leak, Poisoning and Dispersion Quantitative Risk Assessment Software Packag;) is applied to the calculation of individual and social risks. The results of quantitative risk assessment are also presented.
