TESTING STRING SAFETY ANALYSIS UNDER ENVIRONMENTAL PRESSURE
During well testing, pressures imposed on testing tubing change frequently. Actions of downhole tools rely on annulus or in-tubing pressure operation; information collection of the reservoir needs the production control valve be on and off repeatedly. Pressure variability makes it very difficult to estimate testing string safety both in deformdtion and strength. Although many measures have been taken to forecast pressure and outcome information of the reservoir, exceptions often occur, and one exception is abnormal formation pressure. Considering technological process, axial deformation, helical buckling and strength of testing string are calculated with abnormal high and low formation pressure. Safety design methods of other engineering parameters are discussed, including working string structure, completion fluid density, padding fluid and downhole tool operation pressures.
