A STUDY ON EXPERIMENTAL MEASUREMENT METHOD FOR STRENGTH OF FOAM BUBBLES CONSIDERING FOAM CONCENTRATE OF FIRE

According to extinguishment of way, foam extinguishing have an effect for 8 to 15 times than general water. It can extinguish fire quickly by high-expansion in wide space. Therefore, this method is increasing rapidly for LPG, LNG and liquefied gas especially underground passage and skyscraper by massive-input-extinguishment of medicine.Foam concentrate extinguish a fire by using principle of suffocation. Therefore, foam concentrate of strength should secure tolerance to heat damage in fire.Existing strength foam bubble measurement method extinguished small experimental case of fire by using drainage time way which is check the time for 25% strength of foam. When developing the extinguish medicine, it is hard to test whole case on financial grounds.This study try to find the way of maintain heat defense of foam concentrate which is involve experimental measurement method when development of extinguish medicine.A study of measurement method consider regular creation of foam, copying real fire case, exposure of fire situation and checking height of foam after exposing fire.To make a regular creation of foam, we input the 0.5 liter/min of air by using pump in aqueous solution of 100ml of 3% foam concentrate which put in 1000mL of cylinder. To keep size of foam, we tried to make bubble foam by using 0.2mL of micropipette which was installed the end of the air inlet. These foams were collected by fixing the 72mm height in steel vessel of 100mm × 100mm x 72mm size. Copying real fire case sets up lSkW of radiant heat by using cone-calorimeter cone-heater in regular height. Checking height of foam after exposing fire was measured by specifically formulated tool which can averagery calculate the variations of height in strength of foam experiment.Through the experimental measurement method for strength of foam bubble, when developing the foam concentrate, it secures convenient tolerance of measurement. It has a plan to standardize measurement tool from further research.
