SIMULATION OF SOUR GAS BLOWOUT ACCIDENT USING FLUENT CODE
The simulation of a sulfur gas accident was performed through the fluent software. The initial and boundary conditions of the numerical simulation were drawn from relevant informations of the well field. With the analysis of the simulation results, the diffusion range of hydrogen sulfide in the wind field and concentration curve at different heights were obtained, Then three critical conclusions were drawn: First, although hydrogen sulfide concentration decreases with the increase of height, the change is not significant because of the similar density between air and hydrogen sulfide. Second, The concentration of the hydrogen sulfide in the leeward side is higher than the space around because of the aggregation of the hydrogen sulfide. Third, zonal distribution is more likely to be shown due to the influence on the diffusion of the hydrogen sulfide by wind. Supports would be provided for early warning and relief work according to the results of simulation.
