RESEARCH AND APPLICATION OF 3D MODELING IN PETROCHEMICAL RISK MANAGEMENT
The three-dimensional models can be easily utilized to generate different types of 2D layouts, 3D diagrams and animations. In petrochemical industry the 3D models can be applied not only to facility design, dairy management, but also to the prediction and simulation of the consequences of the accidents, so as to provide technical support for the establishment of emergency rescue response system and the examination for the validity of security measures. This article compares the characteristics and the limitations of several different 3D modeling software and illustrates the benefits of customized models. The article lists the application of 3D modeling in risk management and its developing trend.
