KEY POINTS FOR ANTISTATIC SAFETY DESIGN OF PETROCHEMICAL ENTERPRISES

As Chinas petrochemical industry is developing increasingly, more and more production plants are being expanded and reconstructed. The electrostatic safety inspection for plants in use by enterprises revealed many potential safety concerns. In order to prevent similar problems from reoccurrence and ensure safe production, we suggest that it should start from design and focus on the basic design, detail design and other important stages so as to make it comply with the electrostatic safety requirements. This article mainly discusses the notable problems in desiga of reconstruction and expansion works of petrochemical enterprises in relation to e-lectrostatic protection and analyzes the hazard of these problems to lay a solid foundation of initial guarantee for ensuring safe petrochemical production.
