A COMPUTER-AIDED EMERGENCY DECISION-MAKING SYSTEM BASED ON DCS OF PETROCHEMICAL UNITS

This paper introduced a computer-aided emergency decision-making system based on distributed control system (DCS) of petrochemical units. The software combines the current real-time monitor system with a client programmed by OLE for process control, which can extract the key process data from DCS and the safety detection data digitized by updating programmable logic controller (PLC) hardware. The software can analyze the two kinds of data and compare them to a experienced threshold parameter in order to make a pre-alarm with an emergency decision-making assistance. This system gives a powerful reference to shut-down operation at abnormal condition, which is of great significance to improve management efficiency and automation level for petrochemical unit.
