THE STUDY ON FIELD TEST OF THE BREAKAGE SENSIBLE PIPE
Weve tried to reduce the economic loss of breakags of pipes by confirming the exact location and the condition of the breakage of pipe network n real time. Developed system consists of breakage sensfcle pipe, RTD(Remote TDR Device) and server system It is possible for a RTD to sense a state of sensfcle wire in the middle of PE coated layer of steel GAS pipe. Causes of fault state can be found after analyzing a state of the reflected wave in TDR(Time Domain Reflectometer). The case ofopen state is occurred when the coated layer is broken and then the sensing wire is cut off Short1 state is occurred when the sensing wire contacts with water. Accordingly the broken state of sensfcle pipe can be classified into two types-open or short TDR built-in remote controller can also calculate the distance from the remote controller to the fault point of the wire of sensfcle pipe. This study is field test on real pipeline during one year.
