STRUCTURAL DESIGN AND SEALING ANALYSIS OF TWO NOVEL SUSPENDED PLUGGING HEAD

Plugging technology plays an important role in the pipeline first-aid repair. As the key component of the stopple plugging machine, the design of suspended plugging head directly influences the pipeline plugging quality. To overcome the defect that traditional suspended plugging head can hardly seal completely through single operation, two new patterns of suspended plugging head including complex single block style and double block style were developed. The static analysis and sealing capacity were studied with the help of general finite analysis software. As the analysis shown, either of the two new pattern plugging head can reach the requirements.and both provide more safety and time saving through single operation.
