LD GAS EXPORT PIPELINE FREE-SPAN RECTIFICATION ON THE BASE OF BIONIC SCOUR-PREVENTION TECHNIQUE
There are 2 long and deep free-span sections located at K.P69.5 along theLD 24 gas export pipeline, which is belong allowable span length. Due to existing scour and deep water, the water depth (about 90m) is belong air diving ability and we are lack of saturation diving systems and saturation support vessels, and based on the existing temporary support solution with groud bags, Flexible Edge Weighted Frond Mats with ROV installation is discussed to rectify the free-span permanently protect scour located at K.P69. S, and it is the first time to introduce this Bionic Scour-Prevention Technique in our country. The deployment solution of the frond mats, the mechanism of scour protection, and the ROV installation procedure are presented. So there will be important applied value and practical significance for scour protection and free-spans rectification of existing and developing deepwater subsea pipeline, and even the whole pipeline operation safety and the oil and gas field production to Introducing the new and advanced bionic scour-prevention technique.
