Processing Properties of PLA/PMMA as IPS for Welding Heterogeneous Polymers
The interposed sheets (IPS) using for our novel ultrasonic welding method have been prepared and the performances are studied in order to weld between heterogeneous polymers. For weld materials of Polylactide (PLA) and Poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), their composites are prepared using as IPS. The mechanical properties, interfacial structure and the effect of welding conditions on the welding strengths are studied.
