Tribological Properties of Polymer and Carbon Nanotubes Composites
Tribology of polymer is a class of materials widely used in the field , and generally has good thermal stability, chemical stability, and easy processing. But it has poor tribological properties. In order to improve their tribological properties, a large number of inorganic particles and fibers were used as polymer modified filler. Different types of fillers on the tribological properties of polymer composite materials with very different effects, so the choice of filler and its mechanism has received widespread attention by tribology researchers.polymer / carbon nanotubes composites was prepared by the method which was reported relatively rare and the author studied the tribological properties of polymer composites, using M-2000 friction tester for testing their friction coefficient, wear rate, with VDMH 5Version2.01 microhardness test their molecular hardness. Discussed the addition of carbon nanotubes on nano-tribological properties of composite materials, the last of the paper is the carbon nanotube reinforced polymer nanocomposites mechanism of tribological.
