The research and development of integrating database in casting process
In the casting process designation CAD, using threedimentional drawing software, the parts solid modeling has became main method of modern casting process designation, and it has replaced other measures gradually in the modern casting process designation. That makes casting production and computer combined closely and substitutes manpower and artificial experience to carry on casting method. But the casting process designation CAD is a interactive design process and casting process database contains a plenty of categories. The database structure is so complicated that it has to make full use of computer database technology and computer graphics technology, promoting casting process CAD/CAE/CAM integration process. There are a plenty of standard data and empirical data in the database those sustain the casting process designation, further more, the data can be saved and changed repeatedly in the dynamic process. In this paper, based on parameter of the casting production, the database is established by analyzing and calculating the data. Set as background database, the Delphi and SQL server are adopted to develop casting process database management system. The system can realize query function of the method information and save data and maintain the database which solves the problem of plenty of casting process data effective storage and rational utilization in the assistant designation.
