Information Systems, Human Capital, and Enterprise Value

By using 76 Chinese listed companies data with 2~13 years period that consists of about 350 observations,under Chinese context with GLS regression method,this paper empirically study the relationship between information systems and enterprise value,and the influence of the complementary mechanism between information systems and human capital on enterprise value. This study draws such two conclusions: 1. in short term,the adoption of information systems has significantly negative impact on enterprise value,and such negative influence may be practical significance; in a relative long term,as time goes by,the negative influence decreases gradually,and shows increasing marginal revenue and U shape relationship; in long term,the adoption of information systems has statistically positive impact on enterprise value. 2.The influence of the complementarity between information systems and human capital on enterprise value is statistically positive.
