A Review on Relationship between Transformational Leadership and Team Effectiveness

Despite the increased research on leadership in teams,there is a lack of integration concerning the relationship between transformational leadership behaviors and team effectiveness. The purpose of this paper is to review the research of a range of published works concerning the relationship between transformational leadership and team effectiveness. It is found that their relationships can be categorized into two types: the direct linkage and the process-based linkage which explores the mechanism between them. It is hoped that this paper can provide a basis for future research in the area of transformational leadership and team effectiveness.
