Accounting Students and Videos: an unusual combination?
Abstractt Video is increasingly being used in the accounting profession as a basic means of communication. Video can be a powerful tool for improving communication and presentation skills. Because of the growing importance of video, two accounting professors at the University of North Dakota are developing a project whereby students in intermediate accounting classes interview students who have returned from an accounting internship. The videos will be used to develop communication skills, provide opportunities for peer-to-peer learning,to recruit accounting students, and to encourage student to participate in the internship program.
