Impact of Financial Sector Reforms on the Efficiency of Commercial Banks in Pakistan

摘要：

The study measure the technical efficiency of commercial banks in pakitan after the initiation of financial sector reforms covering a period from 1991-2007. Banks are divided into three categories on the basis of ownership: state owned banks,private banks and foreign banks. Private banks are found to be the most efficient followed by foreign banks and state owned banks are least efficient Overall the technical efficiency of all the banks show a declining trend over the sample period.
