Risk Evaluation of Earthquake for Urban Gas Pipeline Network

Urban gas supply network is the important component in the city lifeline engineering systems. Once earthquake happened, gas leakage caused by damaged pipelines would lead to fire, explosion, and other secondary disasters. It is a serious threat to human lives and property. So it is of great value in economy and society that carrying out risk evaluation of earthquake for urban gas pipeline network. In this paper the three elements of risk evaluation system and the evaluation content are analyzed. For urban gas pipeline network, the basic thoughts and framework of risk evaluation of earthquake are set up. And according to the present study condition, some problems to be further studied are given.
