Reliability Analysis of Earthquake Resistance of Multi-storey Frame Structure of Intermediate State

The tradition theory of reliability explains that there are only two working modes as safety and failure in the engineering structure. In fact, there exists a three-stage working mode as safety, intermediate and failure state in the engineering structure. Based on the analysis of reliability vector model of anti-seismic frame structure, the author combines three-stage working mode of structure and three-level fortification criterion of anti-seismic design code to establish a reliability vector of anti seismic multi-storey frame structure. The computational method of reliability vector with multi-storey frame structure with the intermediate state is established by taking advantage of the feature that the probability distribution of bottom shear and story shear of structure in 50 years of design reference period is type Ⅱ extreme value. The reliability vector (PR,PM,Pf) of frame structure is consist of the safety probability PR , the intermediate probability PM and the failure probability Pf of frame structure under seismic load all of which are calculated by analyzing concrete examples and they provide theory basis for the analysis on anti-seismic multi-storey frame structure.
