Reputation-Based Division of Virtual Subnets
Wireless Ad Hoc networks are composed of self organizing, multi-relaying nodes connected by wireless links that virtual subnet technology provides support to separate data packets of various security, and segregate malicious and selfish nodes is necessary. In order to satisfy security requirements, nodes security is closely determined by its reputation. In this paper, an efficient method combine physical subnet, based on topology relationship of network, with virtual subnet, based on nodes reputation, is proposed. For the purpose, nodes reputation is computed by both direct and indirect evaluation. The experiment on malicious and selfish node shows that this model can sufficiently isolate malicious node and pick a secure path to avoid selfuh nodes.
