Recognition of Analog Instruments Based on Digital Image Processing

In order to identify the analog instruments, a new approach to recognition based on digital image processing has been proposed in this paper. The main research is focus on the recognition of analog instruments with panel based on the technology of computer vision and digital image processing which is aim to obtain the exact number or range corresponding to the amount. The benefit is to transformer the reading value into the digital number. The works in this paper include preprocessing studies after the image acquainted and thy approach of pointer identification through Hough transform. The reading on the instrument panel will be determined based on the above works. The proposed approach solves problem of the automatic pointer identification in analog instruments and it is possible to automatically detect the monitor meters in the practical application.
