Influence Pitch Frequency in Farsi Text to Speech Synthesis System in Flite

This paper aims to discuss the model and the implementation of a speech synthesizer in Persian language using the software Flite. Changing the frequency of the pitch has significant impacts on production of natural speeches in Persian. The main feature of this synthesizer is its ability to change texts to speech with Persian pronunciation and in Persian dialect through changes of the pitch frequencies. The results of this algorithm are compared to the changes of the pitch frequencies extracted from the database of Persian sentences. Some examples of Persian sentences from the database of Persian sentences are also synthesized using the software Flite. The values MOS test for naturalness, understandability and good sounding of sentences / deeruz barf barid/ (meaning It rained yesterday in English), /man yek dastgaahe chaap saakhteham/ (meaning I have created a printing machine in English), /parch tooyeh komod ast/ (meaning The drinking vessel is in the closet in English), / ketfaam dard mikonad/ (meaning My shoulder is hurt in English), are 3.6,4.1,3.7 respectively.
