Research on Mesh Model Construction for one Station Terrestrial Laser Scanning Point Cloud
The terrestrial laser scanning system can quickly acquire precise and dense point cloud from object surface. But in actual application, such as: visualization, data simplification, usually needs to constitute object mesh model used point cloud. This paper studied the construction method of mesh model based on point cloud. Considering the characteristics of one station terrestrial laser scanning point cloud, the improved triangulation growth algorithm model was presented. Firstly one station point cloud was projected onto a sphere with the method of central projection, constructed triangulation model on the sphere to ensure the correct adjacency relation between the points; then according to four limiting conditions of space Delaunay, realized mesh model construction for the bronze statue of Chairman MAO in Fuxin.
