Ionospheric Delay Correction and Integrity Monitoring based on Kriging in GRIMS

A ground-based regional integrity monitoring system has been built by CAAC to augment the integrity of GPS in China mainland area. There are only seven ground reference stations in GRIMS all over China, so its a great challenge to produce the ionospheric delay correction and integrity information. The traditional methods based on the distance-weighted method and the planar fit method all have problem in estimating with sparse measurements. In this paper, we introduced Kriging method to tackle this problem. With the ionosphere spatial statistics as prior knowledge, the Kriging method can produce a more accurate ionospheric delay correction and a more tight confidence bound at the boundary area.
