Characteristics and Rational Evaluation of Railway Transportation Network Planning within Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region—Illustrated by Tourism Development and Social Network Methods
Based on social network method, UCINET 6 is being used here to do the data analysis, illustrated by the case of railway transit network. The paper focused on tourist transit zones and inter-city railway timetables, building up tourist railway transit network structure of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. The railway transit social network density is relatively high, being 0.673. Nonetheless, the density of railway transit social network in Hebei province is 0.570. The current status of railway transport in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region basically shows that Beijing, Tianjing and Shijiahzuang are the core cities, the others being Fringes. Railway construction and tourism development do not work closely and harmoniously together with one another in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Under the background of future pattern of high-speed railway, the rail social density will slightly increase to be 0.713. Linking all nodes and travelling by road transportion in the overall network can improve the quality of tourist railway transit network within Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
