Study on Comprehensive Evaluation Model of Maritime English Teaching Quality
As the general language of shipping, Maritime English becomes more and more important. Teaching quality of Maritime English affects the total quality of navigation education. However, it is influenced by many factors. In this study, by use of Delphi method and AHP method, a comprehensive evaluation model is built and teaching quality of Maritime English is assessed. After analyzing the calculated data, such conclusion can be drawn: comprehensive evaluation model could be used to assess maritime English teaching quality; teaching method, backwash effect of competency exam, connection with nautical practice, and practicability of textbooks are the most important factors that influence the teaching quality of Maritime English.
