A New One-dimensional Traffic Flow Cellular Automata Model With Consideration of The Deceleration Threshold and Comfortable Driving
In this paper, a new cellular automata model is developed for one-lane traffic flow. The characteristics of the new model are analyzed in great detail. In the new model, the driver prejudgment is considered according to the velocity of the leading car. The finite deceleration capability and the braking distance of the high-speed running cars are also introduced, which is not considered in other models. Moreover, comfortable driving demand is considered, too. We obtain some basic qualitative results and the fundamental diagram of the proposed model. In comparison with the known models, we find that the fundamental diagram of the proposed model is more realistic than that of the known models.
