Real-Time Simulation of Ocean System with Dynamic Environment
In this paper we describe the methods used to implement a real-time rendering ocean system which is dynamic and show interactivity in some aspect. This system refers to the representation of water surface and the simulation of dynamic waves, as far as the optical characteristics of water. We present an optical model to calculate the reflection and refraction in an efficient way, by using the features of programmable graphics processors (CPU). Moreover, the system has a dynamic mechanism in sky and atmosphere rendering, and the water surface varies in real-time with some natural factors, including the wind force and sky light.
