Using Ontology in Resource Discovery in Grid-Based Digital Library
Nowadays Grid has been considered as a technology for subscription of resources and solving problems in dynamic environments. In Data Grid having a lot of data by using the semantic technics, have double importance. The discussed Grid in this paper includes some data bases or digital libraries. In this paper, ontology has been used for resource discovery and management. This paper presents the new algorithm to compare ontologies. The benefit of this work is that resource registering in Data Grid and their discovery will be done semantically. Semantic search decreases reliance of search to keywords. On the other hand, Data Grid having more amount of data makes control, management and search simpler by using semantic methods. Jena library was used for implementing the algorithm. It can be used for reading the ontology files. We compared our algorithm with O-Match algorithm. Implementation and evaluation of the algorithm show that using the algorithm is useful in semantic resource discovery and management
