A Remote Data Backup and Recovery Method
For the problem that many industries depend on information systems increasingly, a high reliable remote data backup and recovery nterhod is proposed. This method combines the logical volume mirror and snapshots. On one hand, data can be backed up to remote sever in real time, guaranteeing backup data is consistent with the latest data. Meanwhile, the method ean achieve multi-time backup by copy-on-write snapshots, storing disk datas change sequences, and make it possible to restore the data to a previous state of a particular point in time, avoiding dala destruction caused by virus infection or users misoperation. Experiment results show that with the combination of the real-time and timing backup, the survivability and security of data can be greatly enhanced.
