Factors Affecting Remediation of Diesel Oil Polluted Soil
In order to evaluate the interfacial tension effect of solution on the remediation of diesel oil contaminated soil, column experiments were performed. The factors on oil removal effectives were studied through changing the pH, ethanol and SDS concentration. The results of experiments indicate that the elimination rate of diesel oil in soil increases with the decreasing of IFT of oil-solution. Water washing of a diesel-polluted soil could eliminate up to 11.6% of diesel oil. When the pH of solution is 8.0, the elimination effect is the most obvious and the elimination rate is 38.2%. The elimination rate reacbes 80.7% when the volume concentration of ethanol is 70%. The elimination rate reaches 35.6% with 4CMC solution Ieaching
