Design of a Control Module for In-Vessel Composting Process Data Logging and Automation
This paper proposes a flexible and low cost electronic processing module to perform the data acquisition and control of in-vessel composting processes, based on the analyses of gaseous phase. The module hardware is designed with a microcontroller and its software has a modular structure to ensure easy adaptations to other composting processes control. It also enables the data storage in non-volatile memories and the data transmission to computers as a way to compose databases with the parameters measured during the composting process.
