Spatial Functional Planning for Giant Panda Habitat of Baoxing County in Sichuan , China
Based on the conception and theory of Integrated Ecosystem Management, this paper worked out a set of spatial function planning methods for Giant Panda Habitat in Qionglai Mountains in Sichuan. In this paper, According to the regional ecological sensitivity, the relationship between ecosystem functions and services, Giant Panda Habitat in Baoxing County, one of key areas of Giant Panda Habitat in Qionglai Mountains, was divided into 4 types of main function regions: the optimized development, the major development the restricted development and the prohibition development, and each of these four types of planning regions could be as some criteria for evaluating effectiveness of management performance of local government. The research show that the spatial function planning of IEM works out a new for harmonious development between human and nature in the Giant Panda habitat.
