Microcontroller-based pH and Temperature Data Logging System for Water Quality Monitoring
Accurate measurement and analysis of pH and temperature data is required for a multitude of applications ranging from the agricultural sector to clinical laboratories. In many of these applications an inexpensive handheld unit is needed. This paper describes a low cost and low power pH and temperature sensing and data logging system using a Atmel AT89C51 microcontroller and pH and temperature sensor. This paper describes the sensor data acquisition and data logging system including details ofits construction, capabilities and applications. Systems designed with advanced 12C chip EEPROM and RTC, the data collected by the existence of large capacity memory, in the spare time to deal with good data sent through the serial port to the PC.
