Chemical Composition of the Volatile Oil from Waterweed and Their Allelopathic Activity on Microcystis Aeruginosa
The volatile oil of Waterweed was extracted by petroleum ether and then fractionated with some chemical reagenL The volatile compounds were analyzed by GCMS. The results of GC-MS analysis indicated that this oil was a complex mixture of 32 identified constituents, which represented about 63.9% of the total oiL The growth inhibition rate of Microcystis aeruginosa by the volatile oil was 27.9%, when the concentration of the volatile oil was 30.0 mg/L. The results provided valuable information for eutrophic waters recovering.
